Much of the technical and cultural value that developers and creators bring to the table is still unvalued, and much of their creativity is still dormant. We have a mission to change that.
Dev Protocol is a middleware protocol on Ethereum. It has changed the relationship between creators and patrons by tokenizing open assets such as open-source, open access, and creative commons with its own oracle and staking tokens as an alternative to donations. Over 1600 open source assets, including many notable projects, have already been tokenized.
At Dev Null, we develop the core modules, peripheral tools, and Dapps of Dev Protocol together with the community of DEV token holders and creators.
The role
As a core developer of Dev Protocol, you will join an autonomous team that builds smart contracts and Dapps. You will devise Dev Improvement Proposals (DIPs) in a frictionless and open improvement cycle with the community and lead the development. We develop in Solidity, TypeScript with functional programming linting and routinely find new tools, never stopping to learn and improve our code.
At Dev Protocol, you'll lead the development of the protocol core in a cutting-edge team that will have a huge impact on the future of creators around the world.
What you'll do
- Develop smart contracts for Dev Protocol core modules or peripheral tools
- Collaborate with a proactive development team of several people to lead challenging projects
- Write improvement proposals or write specifications for existing concepts to keep the improvement cycle fast
- Collaborate with the community to refine improvement proposals
- Continually think and act to become a more distributed and community-driven team
Must Requirements
- 4+ years of professional engineering experience
- Experience designing and developing complex mathematics in Solidity
- Ability to learn new programming languages and toolsets, and willingness to explore them
- Experience with farming and lending using DeFi protocols, and a willingness to explore them
- Deep insight and imagination into composability and dynamism
Additional Requirements
- Experience with test-driven development
- Experience developing Dapps with TypeScript friendly front-end libraries
- Experience starting a business, being a founding member, freelancing or pitching
- Experience developing serverless functions
Benefits and Perks
- Stock options in Dev Null
- 100% remote & flexible hours
- Accelerate your career growth (work directly with the founder)
- Reward the great success of your work with autonomy, additional responsibility, and career options.
- Paid days off
We will have open employment opportunities for all persons under our CoC. - Writing and testing Solidity code for smart contracts, Debugging and troubleshooting issues with existing smart contracts
- Collaborating with other members of the development team to ensure that the contracts are implemented according to the project's specifications
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in the Solidity and blockchain communities, and incorporating new best practices and techniques into their work
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to the development of coding standards and guidelines for the project.
