The Research team is a unique and cross-functional organization collaborating mainly with the distribution, product, and engineering teams. Education is at the core of our industrial research as we stand by free, open source and publicly accessible content and strongly believe information asymmetry contradicts crypto ethos and philosophy. More than 10,000 investors read our research notes and reports on a weekly basis; ranging from private banks, asset managers, professional traders, hedge funds, tier-1 media outlets, regulators, university professors, students and crypto researchers.

We provide data-driven, cutting-edge, contrarian and unique insights into the crypto markets and macroeconomic factors likely to influence the state of this industry or a specific sector.

We are looking to add a new Research Associate, someone capable of delivering both unique, unconventional and differentiated information about the cryptoasset industry.

Key Accountabilities and Scope:

  • Research industry-related market categories to build up investment cases and thesis in Web 3, DeFi, NFTs, Data Infrastructure, Layer 1s, Layer 2s or Macro (eg, regulation) through deep research and market mapping.
  • Become a subject-matter expert and thought leader of your own market category and serve as an educational resource for the engineering, product and distribution teams.
  • Identify emerging and bottom-up disruptive projects and trends ahead of market acceptance that will influence the crypto industry for the years to come.
  • Interview industry professionals and incorporate primary information in various mediums.
  • Prepare long and short form reports, memos, investor letters, webinars and thought-leadership pieces (eg, new features, protocol designs, crypto best practices).
  • Educate institutions, regulators and journalists on the cryptoasset market.
  • Participate in community calls and proposals. Engage with the crypto community on social media in a thoughtful, constructive and positive way that furthers our reputation.
  • Help build world-class products.
  • Support our growing distribution team in the business development process of our products: attend conferences, participate in webinar sessions with distribution and research team members.



Skills and Experience:

  • Strong interest in crypto
  • Deep knowledge of the crypto asset industry
  • Comfortable with data manipulation. Proficiency in Python and SQL is a big plus
  • Understanding of Solidity, Rust and other programming languages is a big plus.
  • A self-starter who takes initiative.
  • Keen to learn and develop as part of a fast growing team
