Wormhole Labs is a pioneering blockchain technology company building decentralized systems for a freer and fairer global economy. We're reshaping financial infrastructure across the entire crypto stack, from core protocol development to trading systems and user-facing applications.

At our core, we're technology innovators bridging traditional finance with the emerging possibilities of crypto. Our seasoned team leverages deep technical expertise to develop solutions that advance the industry. We're seeking talented individuals who share our vision, and have the technical prowess to help build it β€” join us!

As a Solidity Protocol Engineer at Wormhole Labs, you will make significant contributions to Wormhole’s ecosystem of open source smart contracts and protocols on EVM chains (e.g. Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Monad, etc.). You will either drive or partner with domain experts on the entire lifecycle of smart contract development, including ideation, design, implementation, security review, and deployment.

What you will do

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and security review of Wormhole’s core Solidity contracts and to protocols expanding to EVM chains.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather customer requirements, analyze business needs, and translate them into smart contract code.

  • Follow best practices for secure smart contract development and build future best practices alongside Wormhole security researchers.

  • Stay up to date with the latest in Ethereum/EVM tooling, best practices, and industry trends.

The ideal candidate will

  • Have deep experience with writing production Solidity contracts.

  • Be high agency and effect the outcomes they wish to see.

  • Care deeply about the business outcomes of your work and challenge priorities when the business impact is unclear.

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, although equivalent practical experience will also be taken into consideration.

We provide

  • Competitive salary and performance bonus.

  • Unlimited time off, healthcare premium reimbursement, and 401K.

  • Top-of-the-line MacBook Pro laptop.

  • Flexibility of working from wherever you have work authorization, as long as you can work 10-6PM US Eastern Time. We minimize unnecessary meetings, but building decentralized systems requires synchronous communication.

Note: This is a senior-level role. We will only respond to applicants that meet our requirements. If we don’t respond, please assume a polite decline for now.
