Job Description
What you'll be working on
- Researching industry trends and identifying promising new technologies
- Formulating investment theses in emerging technologies such as blockchain, Web3, AI, metaverse and gaming
- Engaging in marketing activities across in person and digital channels to source top deals
- Networking at industry events to connect with top founders and innovators in Web3
- Sourcing global deals with systematic outreach and tracking in deal CRM
- Analyzing investment opportunities along the investment thesis to form high conviction around our underwriting parameters
- Conducting due diligence on startup companies in these fields
- Writing investment recommendations, forming conviction through thesis-driven fundamental analysis
- Building long term relationships with founders, investors and ecosystem partners to source deals and grow companies
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other investment team members
- Manage cross functional resources, across international time zones
- Evaluating business models, token protocols and market potential of early-stage startups
- Preparing investment valuation analyses and presentations for the investment committee
- Partnering with portfolio companies to support their growth post-investment
- Monitoring portfolio company performance and reporting updates to management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or data science
- Up to five years of work experience in product management, sales and marketing, investment banking, business development or strategy consulting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to evaluate qualitative and quantitative data
- Experience with or knowledge of emerging technologies like blockchain, AI and virtual/augmented reality preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting to stakeholders
- Experience working with multinational companies
