• ESTIMATED DURATION: 40Hrs/Week - Long-term

About the Role

Our client is in a search of a software engineer, who also has devops experience. In this role, you will split your time between Python engineering and ops/devops.

Responsibilities:

• Split time between software development and ops/devops

• Participate in designing and growing our state-of-the-art payment channel platform

• Expand and improve the core system with new features and services

• Engage in our team's design and code reviews

• Set up/maintain highly available infrastructure with an eye toward high scalability

• Set up/maintain internals systems for
  - Test automation
  - CI/CD
  - Infrastructure as code
  - Single pane of glass observability
  - Execution tracing

• Communication and collaboration with a fully distributed team.

Qualifications:

• Software development experience using Python

• Excellent software engineering ability

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure providers such as

  Knowledge of containers and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Ansible, etc)

• Excellent knowledge of Linux

• Familiarity with various databases

• Familiarity with high availability

• Ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies

Nice to have

• Familiarity with serverless computing

• Experience with high scalability

• Knowledge and understanding of cryptography

• Understanding of Ethereum and blockchain tech
