Forbes is hiring an intern for its quickly growing Digital Assets team. Many of our interns have transitioned to full-time roles within our newsroom. We are looking for rising journalists who embody the Forbes entrepreneurial spirit to innovate, identify new opportunities and are passionate about learning.

Responsibilities

You will spend a bulk of time reporting on the biggest companies in the world using blockchain technology seriously for the next issue of the Forbes Blockchain 50. The list presents an opportunity to learn and write about the most exciting blockchain innovation spearheaded by the likes of Meta, Fidelity and others.

We will ask you to conduct research related to the list (contact sources, gather documents and data) and write short profiles for a number of companies. We may also ask you to help us with the social media campaign for the list.

Additionally, you will pitch, report and write blockchain and crypto-focused stories for Forbes.com and collaborate with Forbes staffers on related projects.

Length

November — end of February (3 months); 25 hours per week

Qualifications

• A journalism degree or experience working in a newsroom including reporting, writing and fact-checking
• Solid news judgment with an understanding of journalistic standards and editorial ethics
• Understanding of basic financial concepts and familiarity with blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, NFTs and other digital assets
• Ability to analyze documents and financial statements
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
