Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance on complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, inventory valuation, and digital asset accounting
• Own accounting functions from the ground up:
• Support and own various accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities, ensuring adherence to GAAP principles.
• Manage day-to-day financial transactions, reconciliations, and month-end close processes with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
• Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and emerging trends in the web3/blockchain space, and ensure compliance with regulatory changes.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and systems, driving efficiency and scalability.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions to support audit and tax compliance activities.
• Support fundraising activities, investor relations, and strategic partnerships by providing accurate and timely financial information.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide ad-hoc reporting and support as needed to inform decision-making and drive business growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with a minimum of 2 years in public accounting or auditing.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and experience in applying them to complex accounting transactions.
• Knowledge of NFTs, blockchain technology, and digital asset markets is desirable.
• Proven track record of managing accounting operations, driving process improvements, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance; experience with regulatory reporting is preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Netsuite preferred)
• Ability to thrive in a remote work environment, demonstrating autonomy, initiative, and adaptability.
