Asymmetric Research:

Asymmetric Research ("AR") is a boutique security venture focused on deep partnerships with L1/L2 blockchains and DeFi protocols in an effort to keep them safe. We specialize in four core domains of web3 security; research, engineering, incident response, and infrastructure services.

Culture:

AR is a fully remote organization with collaboration spaces in New York City and Zurich, and members of our team have been firmly committed to open-source values for decades, having worked at organizations with deep open-source roots and strong security programs, including Google, Netflix, Mozilla, Stripe, and Jump Crypto. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality, trust, and professionalism.

Overview:

We’re looking for an Executive Assistant to support our founders in both their professional and personal lives, while also occasionally helping the broader team with light coordination and projects as the company scales.

This is a dynamic, high-trust role that blends executive, personal, and light operational support. You’ll ensure the founders’ time, priorities, and logistics run smoothly while jumping in to assist other stakeholders with projects such as internal events, offsites, and team coordination.

The ideal person is proactive, highly organised, and comfortable switching between different tasks and stakeholders.

Location:
This role requires in-person support in New York City

Responsibilities:

  • Founder & Executive Support

    • Manage complex calendars, meeting schedules, and travel arrangements

    • Prioritise and organise communications across inboxes and Slack

    • Track and follow through on action items and priorities

    • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

    • Support investor, client, and internal communications when needed

  • Personal Assistance

    • Coordinate personal logistics such as errands, deliveries, and appointments

    • Keep personal and professional calendar aligned

    • Handle ad hoc requests with care, and confidentiality

  • Team & Project Support

    • Support other stakeholders with light coordination tasks, such as help plan and organise internal events, offsites, and celebrations

    • Assist with travel or logistics for visitors, contractors, and employees

    • Maintain templates, documentation, or shared Notion/Google Workspace resources

    • Jump in on small cross-functional projects where extra help is needed

Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience supporting multiple executives or founders, ideally in a startup or fast-paced consulting environment

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Proactive and adaptable

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Notion, and Slack

  • High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and confidentiality

  • Able to manage multiple priorities calmly and with good judgement

  • Work in a hybrid capacity, combining remote flexibility with consistent in-person presence at AR’s New York City office for regular interactions

  • Be available to travel regularly for client meetings, conferences, and team offsites as needed

Other Skills:

  • Great communicator with a passion for collaboration

  • Organized and detail-oriented

  • Comfortable with change, pace, and ambiguity

  • Proactive, curious, and positive approach

Benefits:

  • 25-days paid vacation

  • Office and equipment stipend

  • Pension / 401K programs

  • Life Insurance

What is 401(K) plan?

A 401(k) plan is a type of employer-sponsored retirement savings plan that allows workers to save and invest for their retirement on a tax-deferred basis

Contributions to a 401(k) plan are made through payroll deductions and are generally invested in a variety of financial instruments, such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds

The tax-deferred nature of the 401(k) plan means that the money you contribute to the plan is not subject to income tax until you withdraw it in retirement, which can help you save more for retirement

Many employers also offer matching contributions to their employees' 401(k) plans, which can help boost your retirement savings even more.
