Job Description

Join Visa Treasury’s Digital Assets and Innovation team to help reshape how money moves with digital assets like stablecoins and next‑gen payment rails. In this role, you’ll own work end to end—drafting white papers and strategy decks that guide decisions, partnering with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Settlement Ops, Finance, and Product to vet ideas and secure approvals, and designing and launching pilots with external partners that move from concept to live. You’ll keep a close pulse on the crypto ecosystem—players, tech, and policy—and turn research into clear recommendations. We’re looking for someone who brings big ideas and takes ownership, yet stays grounded in treasury fundamentals like liquidity, settlement, reconciliation, and controls. This role is perfect if you’re ready to roll up your sleeves, move fast, and help define the next chapter of money movement at Visa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Size opportunities and risks for digital‑asset use cases (cost, speed, risk, working‑capital impacts).

  • Track pilot KPIs and operational metrics; maintain clear, decision‑ready summaries for leadership.

  • Conduct market scans across protocols, wallets, custodians, payment schemes, and regulatory trends.

  • Create executive presentations and strategy memos for Treasury, Product, and Finance leadership.

  • Draft internal white papers, FAQs, and playbooks that translate technical concepts into practical actions.

  • Coordinate end‑to‑end pilot execution: requirements, success metrics, timelines, vendor diligence, contract facilitation etc.

  • Maintain operational runbooks, process maps, and control documentation, support reconciliation and exception management.

  • Partner with Settlement Ops, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Product to ensure Treasury needs are designed in from day one.

  • Contribute to vendor evaluations (custody, wallets, blockchain analytics, on/off‑ramps) and support scorecards.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • 2–6 years in treasury, payments, fintech, consulting/strategy, or operations with demonstrated execution in cross functional projects.
  • BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Business, Data/Analytics, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Finance/treasury fundamentals: liquidity, reconciliation, settlement, cash management, FX, working capital, navigating bank portals.
  • Crypto and stablecoin literacy: mint/burn mechanics, reserve models, custody/wallets, basic L1/L2 concepts, fees/gas, chain analytics, awareness of major players across the ecosystem.
  • Payments domain knowledge: card settlement, cross border flows, instant rails (RTP/FedNow/SEPA Instant), ACH/SWIFT, and global/local banking partners
  • Tools: SQL for querying data, Power BI/Tableau for dashboard; Jira for project management; Allium/Chainalysis for crypto analytics.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with advanced Excel; able to structure ambiguous problems and build clear, defensible models.
  • Exceptional communication: executive ready slides and concise memos; strong attention to detail.
  • Proven project management: organizing stakeholders, hitting milestones, documenting processes and controls.
  • High curiosity and bias for action; comfortable wearing multiple hats and switching between strategic and tactical work.
