The position we’re recruiting for is on an established trading system development project with a large enterprise client. We are looking for a senior backend developer to join our team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Backend development for an internal trading platform using the following technologies: TypeScript, Monorepo, GitHub, Jest, Playwright, React, Redis, SQL, WebSockets, Docker, Kubernetes, Github Actions, SonarQube..
  • Communicate with client to understand requirements
  • Contribute to automated tests
  • Peer code review
  • Take responsibility for features you deploy into staging and enterprise production environments
  • 8+ years of professional programming experience
  • 3+ years of professional typescript or flow experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Flexible on working location (option to work from home / in office (London & Porto))
  • Nice to have - experience with functional programming/languages like OCaml or Haskell etc.
  • 5 days/per year for training
  • Ā£1,000 annual allowance for training (up to 50% of this value can be used for you to buy workstation equipment to work from home)
