Daobase is looking for exceptionally talented backend/blockchain engineers who are familiar with Node.js/Firebase/Solidity to pioneer the future of crypto and web3. You must either have experience with or a strong aptitude for building systems that can handle user-to-user messaging with end-to-end encryption, authentication and cryptographic signing of messages via MetaMask, and BaaS databases that can handle unusual data types (such as markdown). You must be able to implement these systems in a maintainable (well-documented) manner in one-third the time most competent engineers would think possible. Frequent, direct, and concise communication skills are absolutely essential to success. Familiarity with crypto, particularly DAOs, while helpful, is not strictly necessary.

You will be working alongside the founder of Daobase — a highly technical crypto researcher, published subject-matter expert on DAOs, frontend engineer, award-winning designer, and well-connected crypto veteran since 2013. Daobase will be opening up its seed funding round this spring, and we will be oversubscribed based on our initial interest so far.

Consider this contract job a test-run for potential full-time employment as our first engineering hire (which will entail above-market comp and the potential for meaningful equity ownership).
