Investigators are equal parts technical knowledge, tenacity, and intuition. As a Chainalysis Associate Investigator you will measure your success by your impact on our customers’ mission and and the execution and expansion of investigation support.

The team of investigators at Chainalysis are world-class problem solvers adept at mentoring and support complex cryptocurrency investigations. We help our customers with the biggest and most complex investigations and, by enable them to effectively use our tools. Along the way, make the world a safer place.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Become a sought-after and trusted advisor to investigators, analysts, and leadership within your assigned accounts, providing support, mentorship, and coaching through various methods including trainings, masterclasses, and working alongside them.

  • Provide technical advice and investigative support for complex and highly sensitive investigations involving cryptocurrencies.

  • Prepare in-depth summaries of data from extensive research and analysis to set forth recommendations for investigations, lead follow up, and potential risks that could hamper an investigation that could lead to meaningful results related to the customer’s mission

  • Review the adequacy and completeness of investigations and the data collection methods to determine the authenticity, veracity, and pertinence of that data, resulting in more thorough investigations.

  • Complete the Chainalysis Certification training program.

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  • Experience in cryptocurrency investigations, with a strong desire to develop into a subject matter expert.

  • Insatiable curiosity about cryptocurrencies and the growing market.

  • Provided training or guidance to others on products.

  • Proficient in report writing skills/Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information into clear and concise reports in English and Hebrew.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in presenting data and findings.

  • Understanding of the cyber threat landscape and Fin-Crime activities (ransomware actors/groups, AML/Fraud enablers, techniques, capabilities).

  • Experience of collecting and analyzing information from a range of sources, in order to produce comprehensive intelligence reports.

  • Strong knowledge of data architecture and statistical analysis

  • Fluent in Indonesian and English (spoken and written)

Nice to have experience:

  • Investigative or analytical experience, in either law enforcement or compliance government agency.

  • Experience with Chainalysis products/ Chainalysis Certified.

  • Experience with scripting languages(e.g., Python), and database query languages (e.g., SQL)

  • Javanese speaking, or another SE Asian Language such as Thai, Vietnamese, or Chinese as a third language in addition to Indonesian and English relevant to the region.

Some of the responsibilities of a blockchain developer may include:
