N3XT is a Wyoming-chartered Special Purpose Depository Institution (SPDI). We are a 100% reserved, non-lending bank designed to serve as a secure bridge between traditional capital markets and public blockchain infrastructure. Backed by Paradigm, HACK VC, Winklevoss Capital, and Pharsalus, we prioritize safety and transparency for institutional B2B clients.

Position Summary

As an DevOps Engineer focused on blockchain and digital assets, you will lead the development and management of our hardened production environment. You will spend the majority of your time orchestrating blockchain nodes, managing cryptographic key lifecycles, and building comprehensive surveillance systems for on-chain activity. You will also build the automated CI/CD and IaC pipelines that keep our regulated banking rails synchronized and secure.

Key Responsibilities (Blockchain & Security Focus)

  • Resilient Node Infrastructure: Architect and manage a multi-provider node network to ensure 100% data integrity and multi-source consensus.
  • Comprehensive On-Chain Monitoring: Design and implement real-time surveillance for all smart contract events and private key actions. You will build automated alerts and invariant checks to detect unauthorized activity or performance degradation immediately.
  • Cryptographic Orchestration: Manage institutional-grade FIPS 140-2/3 Level 3 HSMs and MPC systems, ensuring all key usage is logged and auditable.
  • Ledger & State Synchronization: Build high-availability systems to facilitate real-time reconciliation between off-chain accounting and public blockchain state.
  • Smart Contract Lifecycle: Lead the deployment of upgradeable smart contracts and manage Timelock Governance and Emergency Pause mechanisms.

Operational & Infrastructure Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Terraform to manage all cloud and node infrastructure as version-controlled, repeatable code.
  • Container Orchestration: Design and scale high-availability Kubernetes clusters to support blockchain nodes and internal services.
  • Automated CI/CD: Build secure, auditable pipelines for both smart contracts and infrastructure components.

What We’re Looking For

  • Blockchain Infrastructure Expertise: 5+ years in DevOps/SRE with a minimum of 2–3 years specifically managing production-grade nodes.
  • Monitoring & Analytics: Proven experience building real-time dashboards and alerting for blockchain events and wallet activity.
  • Security & Key Management: Deep hands-on experience with hardware-backed key management (HSMs) and institutional custody protocols.
  • Smart Contract Proficiency: Strong command of Solidity (EVM) and/or Rust (Solana).
  • DevOps Fundamentals: Expert proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes, and automated CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Haves

  • Regulated Industry Experience: Prior experience working in Finance, Banking, or other heavily regulated environments (e.g., Fintech, Healthcare).
  • Node Engineering: Familiarity with the source code of execution clients (e.g., Go or Rust)

The Pay Range For This Role Is

170,000 - 240,000 CAD per year (Remote (Canada))

170,000 - 240,000 USD per year (Remote (United States))
