Who We Are

BitRobot Foundation:

BitRobot (https://bitrobot.ai/) aims to enable global collaboration in Embodied AI research with crypto incentives. Built as a network of subnets, each subnet contributes valuable outputs, from compute resources to real-world robot fleets, to datasets (real-world or synthetic), to Embodied AI models, across a wide variety of robotic tasks and robotic embodiments, from sidewalk robots to humanoids.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior DevOps & Security Engineer to join BitRobot as our first dedicated hire in this area. You’ll own the full lifecycle of our infrastructure — from scaling and security hardening, to observability and internal tooling. This is a high-impact role with end-to-end responsibility.

You will:

  • Infrastructure ownership: Manage, improve, and scale our Terraform-based cloud infrastructure.
  • Security hardening: Implement best practices in IAM, secrets management, and network security.
  • Observability: Evaluate, set up, and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting across services.
  • Internal tooling: From time to time, build lightweight tools to improve developer efficiency.
  • Reliability: Ensure high availability and performance across a diverse stack (Rust/Axum APIs, Rails/Sidekiq workers, Solana on-chain programs, Redpanda Cloud).

Skills:

  • 5+ years of DevOps/SRE experience (Senior or above).
  • Strong background in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and cloud-native environments.
  • Hands-on experience with security practices in production systems.
  • Track record of choosing and rolling out observability stacks (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry).
  • Comfortable working as a solo owner of infra and security, end-to-end.
  • Ability to work independently and make pragmatic trade-offs.

Nice to have:

  • Based in a timezone overlapping with GMT+8 (7am–7pm) for at least 2 hours.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate work.
  • Exposure to distributed systems, blockchain, or robotics infra.
