Most recently, the firm launched six US-domiciled digital asset ETFs including ARKB, one of the largest spot Bitcoin products in the industry. About the Role 21.co is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic attorney to join our growing U.S. legal team as Senior Legal Counsel (US Funds), reporting directly to our VP, Head of Legal.  This role will assist in advising our asset management businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in securities law, investment funds, and regulatory compliance. Interest and experience in digital assets and blockchain technology is a plus.   Key Responsibilities

Serving as product counsel on all US asset management ventures, including fund launches, strategic partnerships, new product development, and product listings. Advise multiple business teams on emerging regulatory risks and opportunities as it relates to our US asset management business. Taking the lead in advising on new product and fund launches in the US market, including new ETFs, private funds, and other regulated investment structures. Advise on an SEC and NFA compliance program, including maintaining and administering policies, procedures, and controls. Working with the product and engineering teams on new product and technology launches, including advising on cutting edge legal and regulatory issues impacting the cryptocurrency and blockchain industries. Negotiating, drafting and advising on commercial contracts, including service provider agreements, index licenses, technology agreements, distribution agreements, and vendor contracts. Managing external stakeholders, including external counsel and other key service providers.

  Required Skills and Qualifications

A commercially minded, passionate, and fully qualified attorney admitted to practice in the US. 6+ years experience practicing law, including financial services laws. Familiar with performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment. A problem solver who is really excited to get things done! Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders. In-house experience is preferred but not required for the role. Interest in digital assets and blockchain technology is a plus, though it is not required for the role.

This role is based in New York City and will be expected to work from our New York office in a hybrid model Monday - Wednesday.   (NYC only) Pursuant to Section 8-102 of title 8 of the New York City administrative code, the base salary range for this role is $220,000 - $270,000. Total compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
