Software Engineer, Engineering Productivity

Ripple connects banks, payment providers, corporates and digital asset exchanges via RippleNet to provide one frictionless experience to send money globally.

The Role:

The Engineering Productivity (EngProd) within RippleNet is responsible for developing solutions and tools that can improve every engineer’s productivity, starting from writing code up to releasing it with greater confidence and agility.

We’re looking for an engineer to help the RippleNet EngProd Engineering team with discovery, design and implementation of solutions and framework which impacts developer experience for the entire organization. These solutions, spanning all engineering teams, the entire tech stack and all of our infrastructure and tools; will include, but not limited to, developer infrastructure, build and test frameworks, CI/CD infrastructure and release process automation. As a New Grad Engineer, you will be working with experienced engineers pushing the envelope with new tools and technologies and will use a data-driven approach to achieving desired results. The candidate should be a fast learner and enjoy working openly and collaboratively with a diverse team.

What you’ll do:

  • Create automation, monitoring, and instrumentation for reducing operational friction.
  • Work with your mentor, and overall EngProd team to build tools to drive automation, and improve developer productivity.
  • Participate in the full EngProd development life cycle, from software design and requirements gathering to the unit and integration testing
  • Collaborate with product engineering to ensure code is production-ready
  • Participate in the adoption of CI/CD principles within the organization

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in at least one programming language - Python, Java or Golang preferred
  • Excellent debugging, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
  • Experience building deployment pipelines leveraging common CI/CD tools is preferred
  • Experience in at least one of the following: build and tests infrastructure, CI/CD implementation, Building tools and frameworks, is preferred
  • BS in Computer Science or similar
  • Must be a graduate of Spring 2021, Winter 2021, or Spring 2022
