About the role:

As a Data Engineer (Intern), you will play an important role in building out scalable solutions that allow BitGo to make data-driven decisions quickly and accurately on several terabytes of data. Joining the team will give interns a unique look into building data infrastructures and solutions to solve business problems while gaining exposure into the cryptocurrency industry.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Having a dedicated mentor who will help you navigate through BitGo as a whole. From onboarding you on to our tech stack to teaching you about the crypto domain, your mentor will get you ramped up and ready to make an impact- all while showing you what it means to be at BitGo!
  • Building scalable and reliable data pipelines that collects, transforms, loads and curates data from internal and external systems
  • Augmenting data platforms with data pipelines from external & internal systems
  • Support design and deployment of distributed data store that will be central source of truth across the organization
  • Partnering with various cross-functional teams to solve critical problems across the BitGo organization and product

About You:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program with an expected graduation date in 2023
  • Exposure to building data pipelines and database management systems
  • Passion and interest for Crypto and Blockchain

Bonus Points:

  • Prior data engineering experience from internships, hackathons, or other side projects
  • Experience with SQL, Javascript, or Python
  • Familiarity with ETL tools like DBT, Airflow and CI/CD flow
