About The Role

As Pagoda’s Community Manager, Developer Relations, you will lead and manage the community programs that contribute to the health of the NEAR and Pagoda ecosystems. You will take the lead in managing community health, defining community boundaries and ensuring that we establish and follow welcoming, respectful community norms. You will define the events strategy for Pagoda and work with DevRel’s Advocacy and Marketing teams to ensure that we can have an appropriate presence at the events and staff each event with proper developer support. To do all of this you will build and lead a cross-functional team of community moderators, hackathon managers, program managers and more. This role reports to the Head of Developer Relations.

This is an exciting opportunity to create and execute a community strategy for the first ever Web3 startup platform in the blockchain ecosystem.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Build and execute our community strategy
  • Establish our community roadmap and corresponding success metrics.
  • Work with Developer Relations’ Advocacy and Marketing teams to develop, manage and execute community initiatives along with community content strategy.
  • Work cross-functionally on community initiatives that focus on growth and engagement.
  • Constantly gather feedback from the community and bring those insights to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Identify opportunities to surprise, delight, and show our community members how much we appreciate them.
  • Help plan and run community events throughout the year.
  • Measure, analyze, update and track community data, providing timely, regular reporting throughout the company.
  • Manage all internal and external community documentation.
  • Create community onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Escalate and flag issues as needed to keep the community a trusted space
  • Hire the right team (and engage the right third-parties) to scale our Community growth and engagement

What We’re Looking For:

  • Ideally you’ll have 5-7+ years in community management with experience scaling community programs. A strong communicator and writer with experience communicating with internal and external teams and leadership.
  • Enthusiastic about being an advocate for the NEAR and Pagoda communities
  • You understand why community is such an important component to the NEAR and and greater Web3 ecosystems

  • Prior team management and leadership experience, including budget planning and oversight
