Join our fast-growing Crypto Finance team as a Junior Financial Controller, supporting the financial operations of IMC’s global digital asset business. Reporting directly to the Crypto Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for managing essential financial processes while collaborating with various departments and regions. This is a hands-on role that requires both meticulous attention to detail and the ability to contribute to broader strategic initiatives.
Your expertise in finance and regulatory environments will be key to driving IMC's growth as we continue to scale our crypto operations globally. You will engage closely with stakeholders across research, procurement, mid-office, auditors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring smooth financial operations across the organization.
Your Key Responsibilities (Including Crypto Operations):
- Oversee and prepare financial and management reports for multiple entities, including annual reporting.
- Manage financial reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, supporting month-end processes such as invoice booking, payments, cost allocation, and bookkeeping.
- Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Assist in budgeting, financial forecasting, and drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance through automation.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor crypto operations to ensure financial controls for cash/coin transfers and reconciliations.
- Manage daily P&L reconciliations for crypto activities, providing reports to management and supporting audit processes.
- Maintain communication with exchanges for inquiries, onboarding, and seamless operations.
- Identify and implement improvements in financial reporting, using programming skills to automate tasks where possible.
Your Skills & Experience
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience; experience at a Big 4 auditing/ accounting firm is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of financial processes and reporting for multiple entities.
- Interest in digital assets; prior knowledge is an advantage but not required.
- Proficiency in Python, with experience in automation, databases, and APIs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently.
