Who we are:
We at Swissblock are a private investment firm on a mission to lead the way in crypto and cross-asset investing. With a keen understanding that timing is paramount, we employ a systematic approach that combines robust algorithmic trading with exhaustive cross-asset market analysis.Â
We are seeking an operations professional to bring passion and structure to build the foundations of a new company branch.Â
We are partnering with the best solution providers to make the execution and post-trading workflow as transparent and efficient as possible. The overarching goal is to simplify communication and allow our key resources to focus together on problem-solving whilst considering automation.
What you’ll be doing:
As an Operations Intern, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Operations team. Your duties include organizing internal documentation, assisting with reconciliations, handling queries and ad-hoc reporting, and supporting settlement and corporate action processes.
- Helping with daily position and cash reconciliations.
- Assisting with system connectivity setup and user testing.
You will also be interfacing with:
- The technology team, to improve workflow and reporting automation, as well as to increase scalability.
- Our compliance team, particularly with the maintenance of automated order filtering and management of exceptions.
- Treasury activity (collateral and cash-equivalent management), to always allow portfolio managers and executing traders to operate safely.
- Pricing and valuation review flow, focusing on easing communication through common data standards and understanding.
What you’ll bring:
- A curious mind and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, and basic scripting or coding (a plus, not a must).
- Strong, clear, and concise verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Willing to relocate to Switzerland (Zurich / Zug area) or work remotely with some overlap with European business hours.
Preferred experience:
-Previous internship experience in a technical, financial, or operations-related field.
- Interest in financial markets or algorithmic trading.
- Familiarity with basic financial instruments or processes is a plus.
- Experience working with APIs, databases, or scripting languages (Python, SQL, etc.) is a plus.
- Proficiency in German.
Why you should apply:
At Swissblock, we offer an exciting and diverse environment with flat hierarchies and excellent peers. We are a profitable company with a culture based on responsibility and merit. Empowerment is a key value reflected in our career dynamics, which continuously grow with the business.
In addition to a modern office in Baar, Switzerland, and flexible remote collaboration, we offer mentorship, learning opportunities, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to a growing company. You’ll gain experience that bridges the gap between finance, engineering, and technology.
