THE ROLE Rate: $33.65 – $43.27 per hour Contract: 3-month contract (with potential for extension based on business needs) Location: Fully Remote Localcoin is hiring a Project Manager to support product and compliance initiatives. This role is best suited for someone at a Project Coordinator or Engineering Delivery Coordinator level who is strong in execution and organization. You will act as the link between Engineering, Product, and Compliance — translating business and regulatory requirements into clear development tasks and ensuring projects stay on track. Responsibilities include managing work in JIRA, tracking timelines and vendor deliverables, coordinating stakeholders, and supporting testing and QA to ensure solutions meet requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, comfort working with technical documentation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGÂ
Act as the main point of contact between Engineering and cross-functional teams including Product and Compliance. Gather business and regulatory requirements and convert them into clear user stories, tickets, and technical documentation. Own and manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using JIRA. Coordinate meetings, track action items, and ensure alignment across stakeholders. Manage vendor deliverables and Statements of Work (SOWs). Monitor project progress and proactively remove blockers to keep initiatives on track. Perform QA reviews and support system configuration and testing to ensure solutions meet requirements.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORÂ
2–3 years of experience in project coordination, delivery, or project management Experience working closely with Engineering, Product, and Compliance/Legal teams Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills Hands-on experience with JIRA or similar project tracking tools Ability to understand technical documentation and API specs (no coding required) Experience working with SaaS tools and third-party integrations (e.g., KYC or compliance platforms) Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities Clear communicator who can operate independently in a fast-paced environment
NICE TO HAVESÂ
Experience in fintech, payments, crypto, or other regulated financial services environments Familiarity with AML/KYC frameworks and global regulatory requirements (e.g., MiCA, FATF Travel Rule, FINTRAC, AUSTRAC) Exposure to multi-jurisdiction product launches (EU, APAC, Canada) Experience with compliance tools (e.g., Chainalysis, Persona), data platforms (Snowflake, Power BI), or CRM/automation tools (Zendesk, HubSpot) PMP, CAPM, Agile, or Scrum certification Proven ability to take strategic ownership and drive process improvements Comfortable bridging Compliance/Legal and Product/Engineering teams in a fast-paced, scale-up environment
