DeFi Analyst
Responsibilities
- Analyze and report on market events
- Produce research around a thesis or developing market narrative/meta
- Own KPIs including earned media, engagement/reach, Gauntlet researcher community growth, and email subscriptions and engagement
- Manage our anti-KOL army/ DeFi analyst partner program to grow a network of researchers covering Gauntlet, aligning, curating, and incentivizing independent researchers to write about Gauntlet’s products and build on our research
- Field and respond to requests from the media for research, analysis, and insights
- Ideate and create quantitative visualizations, turning our models, math, and data into storytelling
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in DeFi research, content, and/or data analysis
- Fluent in data/analytics tools including but not limited to: Hex, Dune, Flipside, crypto market data APIs, DeFi Llama, Token Terminal, Nansen, Arkham, Github, Gitbook
- Strong knowledge of tokenomics, smart contracts, ability to write complex SQL/Python queries and create data tables and visualizations, and common metrics (TVL, FDV, liquidity and risk metrics, etc.), protocol design
- Familiarity with both EVM and non-EVM chains and infrastructure
- You’ve worked in crypto: at a protocol, exchange, or as part of a community
- Track record of success with a portfolio of writing, data analysis, and market commentary
- You are terminally online, obsessed with CT and other crypto-native social channels
- You understand DeFi and crypto culture as a member and participant
- Extremely deep respect and knowledge of operational security best practices
- Concise, compelling storyteller
