Our Mission

Our mission is to bring web3 to a billion people, by providing builders with the tools they need to build exceptional onchain products. Alchemy is the only complete developer platform that offers the powerful APIs, SDKs, and tools necessary to build and scale onchain apps and rollups.

Our infrastructure powers 70% of the top web3 teams, 90%+ of web2 companies building in web3 and 100+ million end users. Our customers include top web3 brands like Polymarket, OpenSea, Circle, WorldCoin, as well as major global brands like Shopify and Adobe.

The Alchemy team draws from decades of deep expertise in massively scalable infrastructure, AI, and blockchain from leadership roles at leading companies and universities like Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Stanford, and MIT.

We're backed by the world's leading VCs and institutions, including: Lightspeed, Silver Lake, a16z, Coatue, Pantera, Addition, Stanford University, Coinbase, and Charles Schwab, among others.

About The Role

Alchemy is the leading web3 development platform, powering millions of users and billions of dollars of transactions globally. Our Developer Experience (DevEx) team sits at the center of this mission: building the tools, docs, dashboards, and SDKs that make it simple for developers to launch and scale production-ready applications.

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager (EM) to lead a team of engineers dedicated to elevating the developer journey—from first touch in docs, through onboarding, to scaling enterprise-grade apps in production. You’ll own a critical part of Alchemy’s strategy: ensuring that developers building on our platform, particularly those in fintech and money-movement use cases, have a seamless, reliable, and secure experience.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead & Grow the Team: Build and mentor a high-performing team of engineers focused on Dev Tools and Developer Relations. Drive execution across multiple roadmap tracks while fostering a culture of simplicity, iteration, and developer empathy.
  • Shape the Developer Experience: Partner with Product, Design, and Security to continuously improve every surface developers touch—documentation, SDKs, dashboard flows, sample projects, observability tools, and onboarding paths.
  • Enterprise-Ready Foundations: Ensure the platform meets the needs of enterprise and financial app developers by delivering robust security, compliance, and management capabilities (e.g., role-based access control, API key scoping/rotation, audit logs, observability).
  • Accelerate Developer Adoption: Drive projects that shorten time-to-value for developers: refreshed tutorials, streamlined onboarding, AI-assisted workflows, and clonable sample apps tailored to money-movement and smart wallet use cases.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate across Alchemy (Product, Security, Infra, Growth, Design) to set priorities, define standards, and align execution with company-wide goals for revenue and developer activation.
What You’ll Work On
  • Raise product & design quality across dashboards, docs, and onboarding
  • Deliver enterprise-grade features like RBAC, account activity logs, management APIs, and key rotation
  • Invest in observability and reliability, ensuring developers can trust Alchemy for production workloads
  • Expand education and adoption resources - guides, tutorials, productivity tools, and sample code for top use cases
What We're Looking For:
  • 7+ years of experience in modern full-stack software development (React, Typescript, Next.js, Node), with a strong emphasis on building user-facing applications and developer tools.
  • 1+ years in engineering management; proven success in building and leading high-performing full-stack or product engineering teams, ideally in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • A user-first mindset: passionate about simplifying complex workflows for developers and reducing time-to-launch
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment where priorities evolve rapidly
  • Experience with blockchain technologies is a very strong plus.
  • Background in developer platforms, API products, or fintech/financial infrastructure preferred
  • Know how to find the right balance between perfection and shipping quickly.
  • Curiosity on the leading edge - plays with crypto, the latest in AI, and pushes to unpack black boxes.
  • Excellent cross-functional communicator and collaborator
