About the role

We are looking for a Compliance Officer to join the Gnosis Pay team. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that the organization complies with external regulatory requirements and internal policies. You will develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to legal standards and industry best practices.

The role of a Compliance Officer is critical in ensuring an organization operates within legal and ethical boundaries while maintaining a strong reputation and minimizing risks.

What you’ll do

• Design, implement, and manage compliance programs to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies

• Stay updated with regulations and industry standards changes

• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and develop strategies to mitigate risks

• Implement risk management procedures to address identified compliance risks

• Conduct training sessions for employees to raise awareness of compliance policies, procedures, and ethical standards

• Prepare regular reports for management and regulatory bodies detailing compliance activities, issues, and recommendations for improvements

• Develop and implement corrective actions and solutions to address compliance violations or issues

• Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment of compliance procedures with operational processes

• Act as a liaison with external regulatory agencies and auditors, facilitating audits and ensuring all compliance requirements are met

• Experience (5+ years) working in compliance, risk management, or a related field, preferably within blockchain and/or payment industries

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional - CCEP) are advantageous

• Knowledge of AML regulations and payment services legislation within the banking/financial services industry

• Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate across various levels of the organization

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently and as part of a team
