Polysynth is hiring a Quantitative Trader with experience at HFTs/Hedge Funds/Banks to be a core member of our trading desk. You will research, develop and deploy proprietary trading strategies across cryptocurrency derivatives. The candidate will utilise their expertise to expand trading operations and provide technical support to the clients.

Polysynth is a multi-chain, decentralised platform for trading derivatives such as perpetual futures and options. We are the first perpetual futures exchange on Polygon. We have raised funds from Jump Capital, Defi Alliance, Hashed, Brevan Howard and prominent crypto billionaires like Sandeep Nailwal & Jaynti Kanani.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Research and backtest various trading strategies to capitalise on market opportunities across DeFi ecosystem
- Develop risk management protocols on the firm’s trading strategies from an operational, technical, market point of view
- Manage and monitor live trading and risk management systems
- Run simulations to measure risk, stress-test trading models across market scenarios
- Lead the implementation of trading data warehouse to accelerate alpha research
- Collaborate with Technology team to build a robust trading infrastructure to enable a top-notch trading experience for the users
- Participate in Sales/BD calls if required; support clients with their technical queries
Pre-requisites:
- Degree from a top college or university
- Strong academic background within a quantitative subject (e.g. Financial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics) and proficiency with coding (Python)
- 2+ years experience in a quant trading role at a leading proprietary trading firm (HFT/MFT)
- A proven track record with excellent Return on Capital
- Experience in developing Arbitrage strategies and strategy optimisation techniques (including machine learning) is desirable
- Experience trading digital assets across various exchanges including DeFi platforms is desirable
- Experience with trading API's is desirable
- Passion for DeFi and crypto, including familiarity with AMMs is a plus
