About Exponent

Exponent Labs is building Exponent, a leading DeFi protocol on Solana for onchain interest rates. To date, it’s achieved $400M+ in interest rate volume in H1 2025, 25k+ users, with 1-2k daily active users, and integrations with leading Solana protocols such as Jito, Kamino, and Drift.

Exponent makes interest rate markets on Solana more accessible to participants, offering fixed, predictable rate and speculative yield products for a broad range of users. It serves as the backbone of the onchain yield economy, no longer tailored solely to risk-averse participants but to anyone looking to generate returns on their money through financial markets as modern as the internet.

Our mission is to shape the future of modern finance, a future we believe blockchains like Solana are enabling, by building at the frontier of productive capital. Blockchains make it possible for anyone to earn onchain anytime, anywhere; we build the infrastructure to make yield markets truly scalable.

We’ve raised over $7M to date to achieve this mission from leading investors in the space such as Multicoin, RockawayX, Solana Ventures, Robot Ventures, Prelude, and angel investors including Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko. Our team comes with deep background working on blockchain technology since 2021 for teams like Squads, Kamino, Marinade, and more.

Role overview

We’re looking for a Head of Content to join our growing team as we enter our next phase of growth and lead the content department at Exponent: from socials like Twitter, to blog, copywriting, guides, and PR.

This role intersects a lot with product, marketing, and business development, and is best suited for someone who thrives on autonomy, a fast-paced startup environment, enjoys taking on many responsibilities, and wants ownership in what they do. You should enjoy being up to date on finance and crypto as you’ll write daily about it. You’ll grow and learn a lot, and depending on your goals, you’ll have a clear path toward a growth leadership role.

What you’ll do in your day-to-day role

  • Work with the leadership team on content strategy and planning to reach new users.
  • Lead our Twitter account and use it as the main medium to write daily content such as educational posts, product announcements, and narrative-focused content to drive specific audiences to Exponent’s range of products.
  • Craft copywriting for Exponent’s landing pages and products (e.g. app).
  • Maintain up-to-date user-facing documentation and user guides to facilitate access to Exponent’s yield products and strategies around them.
  • Write blog articles in phase with the content strategy.

Opportunity for professional growth: Given the early stage of Exponent, this role offers a lot of ownership and overlaps with other departments like marketing (our content is our #1 marketing channel) and potentially BD, leading to growth opportunities for your career.

Role requirements

  • Deep understanding of DeFi concepts and how to effectively communicate with DeFi audiences.
  • Capable of creating in-depth DeFi content (e.g. long-form articles/threads) and writing engaging short-form content in perfect English.
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends in DeFi and finance.
  • Resourceful and proactive mindset with a high degree of ownership over your responsibilities. You don’t wait for instructions to take action and execute.

What’s unique about working at Exponent

Perks

  • Generous ownership and stake in the company + a lot of freedom. We’re looking for owners.
  • Work remotely from anywhere. Our team is spread across the world and syncs during EU time.
  • Generous compensation. We are a lean team and look for A-players.
  • All-expenses-paid team retreats, 1–2 times a year.
  • Join one of the fastest-growing DeFi protocols building at the frontier of Solana.

Environment

  • A fast-paced, no-BS environment. Communication overhead kept to a bare minimum — we don’t care about titles, only execution is rewarded.
  • Work on the cutting edge of the modern financial industry built on crypto rails. New paradigms and challenges every week. A year happens in a month in crypto.
  • No boring routines. You’ll work on many different things in your role, interact with different products, teams, and users.
  • You’ll work often on very complex problems and use your brain a lot. You’ll be surprised by how fast you’ve grown in a few months.
  • Your work will have high impact and be used/seen with by a variety of users, from individuals to institutions, processing billions in volume.
  • We care about building long-term financial products, not useless short-term hyped projects. If we succeed, the work you’ll be doing can propel your career and level up your resume.

Who is this role not for

  • You’re looking for a low-intensity position with minimal involvement.
  • You have no interest in building a career in the crypto industry.
  • You struggle to thrive in a fast-paced environment that changes every day.
  • You need to be told exactly what to do every time and are unable to come up with your own ideas or be proactive in your work.
