About Blockaid
Blockaid is at the forefront of blockchain and Web3 security, providing unparalleled solutions to detect, understand, prevent, and remediate off and onchain threats. Our mission is to safeguard digital assets and ensure the integrity of on-chain interactions by offering real-time detection, monitoring, and remediation for threats targeting wallets, smart contracts, tokens, and externally owned accounts (EOAs). We help organizations achieve peace of mind with the most advanced security platform in the blockchain space.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Sales Engineer / Solutions Engineer (SE) to join our Go-To-Market (GTM) team at Blockaid. This hybrid role combines technical expertise with sales acumen, focusing on driving the adoption and sales of our cutting-edge onchain security platform. The SE will engage with prospects, deliver live demos, and manage the technical aspects of the sales process. The role involves presenting to technical stakeholders such as CTOs and Heads of Engineering, while being a subject-matter expert (SME) on the full range of Blockaid’s capabilities.
As a key member of the GTM team, the SE will collaborate closely with prospects and internal teams to drive revenue and ensure that prospects are not only convinced of our platform’s capabilities but also guided through the technical aspects of implementation and deployment.
This is a remote role for candidates based in the East Coast (EST). Applications from other timezones or locations will be considered based on their feasible proximity to EST.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales: Work closely with the Blockaid team to engage prospects, providing deep technical expertise on security solutions. Own the technical aspects of the sales cycle, from initial engagement through to technical approval.
- Discovery & Solution Design: Lead discovery sessions with prospects to understand their security needs and challenges, mapping them to Blockaid’s capabilities. Deliver customized demos and proof-of-concept (POC) solutions that demonstrate the value of our security platform.
- Feedback Loop: Act as the conduit between prospects and the product/engineering teams, delivering field insights to help refine our platform and guide product development.
- Relationship Building: Build long-term relationships with customers and prospects, becoming a trusted advisor on all things related to blockchain security.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a technical sales, solutions engineering, or pre-sales role, with a proven track record of driving revenue through technical sales in the blockchain space.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior management.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining customer relationships, with a focus on ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term success.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Problem-solving abilities and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with limited guidance.
- A strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and software development best practices
- Hands-on programming experience including integrations with external APIs in a production environment
- Ability to handle multiple accounts simultaneously, providing tailored solutions to meet individual customer needs.
Strongly Preferred Requirements
- A strong understanding of blockchain technologies, security risks, and Web3 development tools (dApps, APIs, smart contracts).
- Familiarity with Solidity, including the ability to read code; coding experience is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience working in an early-stage startup environment, especially in the crypto or blockchain security industry.
- Based in the US East Coast (EST) or nearby.
