Human Resources Lead
What You Will Do
- Trusted advisor to Bitwise Executives and Managers to support employee initiatives and foster a high-performance culture that adheres to our company values: (1) Show Gratitude, (2) What Would the Client Want, (3) Move Fast, With Informed Rationale, (4) Create Aha Moments
- Oversee compensation and benefits programs, including benchmarking, ensuring they remain competitive and equitable, in conjunction with executives and managers.
- Develop and lead performance review process, promotion process, raise process, and onboarding/offboarding.
- Lead recruiting in partnership with hiring managers, including scoping new headcount needs, role research, job description development, candidate process design and iteration, recruiting agency relationships, and employer branding.Â
- Onboarding and offboarding
- Responsible for ensuring payroll is completed, and manage HR systems, records, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and data security.
- Contribute to development, maintenance, and explanation of HR policies, employee handbooks, employee directories, and procedures that are compliant, helpful, and clear.Â
- Serve as the point of contact for employee questions and concerns, building trust and providing an unbiased sense of support to personnel.
- Maintain and enforce compliance with local labor laws and international employment regulations.
- Contribute ideas, development and run cultural rituals, programs, and events.
- Lead efforts and creation of resources for manager development, learning, and support.Â
- Develop a strong understanding of the business, crypto industry, and functions of the organization.Â
Who You Are
- Minimum of 8-10 years of HR experience, including 3+ years leading HR.Â
- Based in San Francisco and able to go into office 3x a week. Â
- Excellent written and verbal communication, logic and reasoning ability, and emotional intelligence.
- Experience in asset management, crypto, or tech industries preferred.
- Solid understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local employment/labor laws.Â
- Experience with both the US and Europe is preferred.Â
- Additional HR training/certification is a plus, PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Proficiency with software applications including Rippling, Lever, Slack, Lattice, G Suite, Seismic and others.
- Strong problem solver who knows when and how to involve key stakeholders.
- Highly organized with strong prioritization and project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to reliably meet deadlines.
