As Figment’s first Data Science hire, you will have the opportunity to influence how we build our suite of developer products and how we grow the Web 3 ecosystem. Some of the various initiatives will include: Mapping developer growth across protocols, optimizing onboarding funnel, analyzing user behavior across products, optimizing the relationship between Learn and DataHub, and building out our internal analytics. You’ll be working closely with our product, engineering, and marketing teams to help make data-driven decisions on how to grow the company.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Identify key metrics for business performance, and develop tooling and dashboards to track and understand them
  • Aggregate public and proprietary data to weave compelling stories and communicate them throughout the company
  • Analyze cost and usage patterns to construct optimal billing models across our entire product suite
  • Design and own data best practices and help to grow the data teams
  • Develop and deploy data pipelines and data models that power our decision making process at Figment

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with high growth startup experience preferred
  • Expertise in data analyses performed on structured and unstructured datasets
  • Proficiency writing analysis scripts in at least one scripting language
  • Experience with Cloud Infrastructure
  • Leadership abilities to establish, manage, and grow a crucial team within the company
  • Autonomous individual who can help set priorities for the company
  • Ability to understand and write about highly technical topics, for both general and technical audiences
  • Deep understanding of statistical and machine learning concepts and practice applying them a plus
  • Passion for blockchain technologies a plus
