The team of blockchain investigators, analysts, and researchers at Chainalysis are industry leading. We also help tax authorities and other agencies understand the crypto ecosystem and the transactions occurring in it.
The Crypto Ecosystem Intern will measure their success by being able to understand the transactions occurring in the ecosystem; analyzing, summarizing, and categorizing them; and discussing / writing about transactions and trading venues in ways that align with frameworks established by Chainalysis tax, policy, research, and other personnel.

- Received three Chainalysis certifications from its course modules offered to its customers:
- Cryptocurrency Fundamentals
- Reactor (blockchain analytics)
- Ethereum

- Gain a nuanced understanding of ways that investors, traders, and others participating in the ecosystem (such as those contributing resources to consensus mechanisms) interact;
- Developed an understanding of different trading venues, including DeFi protocols;
- Prepared powerpoint presentations and other materials on the above.
A background like this helps:
- Pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree with a graduation date between December 2022-June 2024
- Knowledge of and/or passion for blockchain/cryptocurrency technology
- Crypto trading activity, including in areas involving DeFi and NFTs highly desirable
- Academic background in blockchain/cryptocurrency technology
- Ability to relocate to NYC for the internship
