This is full time position based in Singapore.
What You'll do
- Ensure payroll and tax documents are accurate
- Update general ledger and payroll files
- Prepare accounting files, records, and schedules
- Answer employee questions concerning payroll
- Sourcing for payroll system suitable for the company
- Update and maintain the policy rules and personnel databases in the Payroll data sheets including assisting the task force to migrate the rules and databases into a new system.
- To keep abreast of Singapore laws and regulations, regarding employment, payroll, CPF,workplace safety and income taxes in order to update your computation templates and policy rules in the datasheets.
- Coordinate closely with the HR manager to ensure he or she updates the Personnel changes and changes in Personnel terms and conditions in a timely manner in a shared folder.
- Perform computations regarding statutory (Government) payments such as foreign work quotas, foreign workers levies, CPF and IRAS
- Timely payment of employees’ salaries, preparation & distribution of payslips to employees
- Update general ledger and ensure that the relevant accounting treatments are in compliance with US GAAP
- To update and maintain the Employee Stock Options Plans (ESOP) on a monthly basis
- Preparation of audit schedules and attending to queries raised by external auditors
- Perform daily bookkeeping activities
- Handle intercompany transactions and reporting
- Handle any other ad-hoc duties/tasks as assigned
What you'll need
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting.
- A minimum of two years' experience as a Payroll Accountant, or in a similar role.
- Extensive experience in preparing ledger entries and processing payments.
- Experience in preparing payroll and tax reports, as well as answering payroll inquiries.
- Ability to maintain and update employees' payroll files.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
