We are looking to hire a Graduate Sales Trader to join Wintermute's London trading team as an entry-level position with significant growth potential. This role is perfect for a recent graduate or someone early in their career who wants to break into sales trading within an evolving market. You will receive comprehensive training and mentorship from our best-in-class trading team while contributing to our OTC business growth. Wintermute is a leading OTC desk in the cryptocurrency markets, offering principal liquidity across the full range of OTC products, from 500+ tokens in spot to all major OTC derivatives, including CFDs, options, futures and tailored products. We have over 2,000 counterparties globally with excellent growth opportunities. We operate with no legacy processes, no corporate bureaucracy, yet maintain the highest standards of professionalism within a very dynamic and collaborative culture.
Responsibilities
- Learn and assist with OTC trading operations during London hours, supporting quote generation and client relationship management under senior trader supervision.
- Shadow and learn from seniors on pricing/quoting before progressing to handling trades independently.
- Support the business development team with research and analysis for OTC sales initiatives, whilst identifying ways to deepen existing relationships.
- Utilize internal market commentary and research resources to increase the value of key trading accounts.Â
- Attend relevant training sessions, conferences, and networking events to build industry knowledge and expand professional network.
Requirements
- Recent Bachelor's degree (2:1 or above) in a quantitative or related field, such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or Engineering.
- Work experience in markets/trading related roles preferred in any asset class.
- Strong academic record demonstrating analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Competitive nature with success in work or extracurricular activities.
- Basic understanding of financial instruments; derivatives knowledge is a plus but full training will be provided.
- Strong interest and curiosity in blockchain, cryptocurrency and DeFi - you actively follow crypto news and market developments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
- Self-motivated with strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly evolving market.
