Job Summary:

We encourage our employees to consider this job as a part time job to help build the startup, but also have another 9-5 job to work during the day, much like every employee in the company. As the CTO, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction and leading the engineering team. You will oversee all technical aspects of the company, ensuring that our technology strategy aligns with our business goals. This is a hands-on, equity-based position, requiring a minimum of 10 hours per week dedicated to coding and technical work, and 5 hours per week focused on managerial duties. Ideal candidates are passionate about technology and innovation, with a strong background in full-stack development, blockchain, web3, and NFTs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership and Strategy:

• Develop and execute the company's technology strategy and roadmap.
• Align technological initiatives with business goals and market needs.
• Oversee the development of new technologies and ensure they integrate seamlessly with the platform's existing features.
• Hands-on-keyboard: Dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week to coding and technical tasks.

2. Product Development and Innovation:

• Lead the development and deployment of scalable and secure software solutions.
• Ensure the platform's architecture supports blockchain interoperability and an intuitive NFT-centric UI/UX.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in blockchain, web3, and NFT technologies to keep the platform at the forefront of innovation.

3. Team Management and Collaboration:

• Build and manage a high-performing engineering team.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Set clear goals and expectations, and provide guidance and support to achieve them.
• Emphasize agile methodologies and use tools like Jira to streamline project management.
• Promote thorough documentation and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs).

4. Technical Oversight and Compliance:

• Manage technology budgets and resources efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in data security
• and privacy.
• Implement quality assurance and data protection processes.

5. User Experience and Engagement:

• Enhance user experience by integrating analytics and intelligent profiling features.
• Ensure the platform's social and community features are robust and engaging.
• Oversee the development of the Ovation Hub and NFT exchange to facilitate seamless user interactions.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar leadership role, with a strong background in full-stack development and blockchain technologies.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Solidity or Rust, with extensive knowledge of blockchain, web3, and NFTs.
• Leadership Skills: Exceptional team management and leadership capabilities, with experience leading small, dynamic teams.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and strategic mindset.
• Agility and Adaptability: Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools like Jira, emphasizing flexibility and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment.
• Documentation and SOPs: Strong focus on creating and maintaining thorough documentation and standard operating procedures.

Compensation:

• This is an high equity-based position with some cash compensation. Details of equity and potential future compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
