What is Xweave? Xweave is a cross-border payments orchestration platform bridging regulated fiat rails with non-custodial stablecoin infrastructure. We connect to multiple licensed Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) to provide programmable, asset-agnostic money movement across borders. Our backend leverages Node.js, Temporal, and PostgreSQL to ensure resilience, compliance, and scalability.   What is the role? We're looking for a VP of Engineering to lead our technical strategy, scale our systems, and grow our team as we expand across emerging payment corridors.   Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Architecture

Own and evolve the overall technical architecture of the platform, including orchestration workflows, blockchain integrations, and API services. Make build vs. buy decisions and maintain a strong posture on system reliability, security, and scalability.

Roadmap & Strategy

Partner with Product and Business teams to define the technical roadmap aligned with our cross-border expansion strategy. Prioritize engineering initiatives based on impact, risk, and resource availability.

Due Diligence & Compliance Support

Act as the technical point of contact during investor or partner due diligence processes. Prepare documentation and walkthroughs related to infrastructure, security, scalability, and integration capabilities.

Third-Party Integrations

Manage technical priorities and integration sequencing for partner APIs—including VASPs, fiat on/off ramps, and financial data providers. Ensure API connectors are robust, monitored, and compliant with partner SLAs and regulatory requirements.

Team Building & Hiring

Lead hiring, onboarding, and career development for engineers across backend, devops, and QA. Foster a strong engineering culture with a focus on quality, velocity, and collaboration.

Execution & Delivery

Oversee sprint planning, velocity tracking, and release processes. Ensure high standards of testing, observability, and developer productivity.

  Requirements

8+ years in software engineering, with at least 2-3 years in a technical leadership or head-of-eng role. Proven track record in designing distributed systems, preferably in fintech, payments, or blockchain infrastructure. Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams in a high-growth environment. Familiarity with our stack: Node.js, Temporal, PostgreSQL, Docker, and blockchain/web3 APIs.

  Nice to Have

Experience with cross-border payments, VASPs, or stablecoin settlements. Exposure to compliance, data privacy, and security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, MAS PS Act). Background in startup environments or zero-to-one product launches.

  Why Join Xweave

Help shape the future of programmable, borderless money. Collaborate with top-tier partners across Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. Lead a mission-driven team building modern payment rails for underserved markets.

What is the work of fintech?

Fintech (short for financial technology) refers to the use of technology to innovate and improve financial services

Fintech companies develop and offer various financial products and services that are often more convenient, affordable, and accessible than traditional financial services

Fintech in Web3 is focused on developing decentralized financial (DeFi) applications that enable peer-to-peer financial transactions without intermediaries such as banks or other financial institutions

These DeFi applications are built on blockchain technology, which provides transparency, security, and immutability to financial transactions

Some of the common areas of fintech include:

  1. Payment and money transfer services: Fintech companies offer online payment solutions, mobile wallets, and digital currency exchanges to facilitate the transfer of money between individuals or businesses.
  2. Personal finance and wealth management: Fintech companies provide online investment platforms, robo-advisors, and financial planning tools to help individuals manage their money and invest in a more efficient way.
  3. Lending and financing: Fintech companies offer various loan and financing options, such as peer-to-peer lending, crowdfunding, and invoice financing, which are often more flexible and accessible than traditional bank loans.
  4. Insurance: Fintech companies offer innovative insurance products and services, such as peer-to-peer insurance and usage-based insurance, that are tailored to meet the needs of customers.
  5. Decentralized exchanges (DEXs): These are platforms that enable peer-to-peer trading of cryptocurrencies without intermediaries. DEXs use smart contracts to execute trades automatically and securely on the blockchain.
  6. Decentralized lending platforms: These platforms use smart contracts to enable peer-to-peer lending without intermediaries. Borrowers can access loans without going through a traditional bank or financial institution, while lenders can earn interest on their funds.
  7. Decentralized insurance platforms: These platforms use smart contracts to automate the claims and payout process, reducing fraud and increasing transparency.
  8. Decentralized identity solutions: These solutions use blockchain technology to create a secure and decentralized identity system, enabling users to control their own data and identity.
