Backend Engineer - Golang (m/f/d). Remote.
About the role:
The backend team mission is to maximise the power of data to build impactful insights into blockchain data. You will design, build and maintain Glassnode data infrastructure platforms.
We are searching for a driven and proactive Golang Backend Engineer. You would have the opportunity to contribute to the development of metrics APIs, making sure that query performance is optimal, and build microservices as well as new features. All in the context of a distributed system with a high load of data from blockchain nodes and high scalability.
Join us remotely, you can be located anywhere around the CET time zone, as our work is 100% online. The position is full-time.
What you will do:
- Create microservices in Go to serve metrics via gRPC
- Maintain and extend our API gateway
- Apart from designing and developing you will take care of QA, data QA, and deployment
- You will get to know the whole system inside out and take full responsibility for our products' quality, robustness, and performance
What you need:
- You have at least 3 years of working experience in software engineering and are proficient with Golang
- You have an interest in the cryptocurrencies/blockchain industry
- You are a self-learner, motivated to pick up new technologies and take on complex problems
- You have knowledge of SQL
- You can communicate in English
- Bonus: experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud providers (preferably Google Cloud Platform) and experience building distributed systems and data pipelines
