The engineering team at Chainalysis is inspired by solving the hardest technical challenges and creating products that build trust in cryptocurrencies. We’re a global organization with teams in the UK, Denmark, Canada, and the USA who thrive on the challenging work we do and doing it with other exceptionally talented teammates. Our industry changes every day and our job is to build a flexible platform that will allow us to adapt to those rapid changes.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our Network Lifecycle Management Team. This team is responsible for building guardrails, tooling, and guidelines to onboard new blockchain networks to our platform, leveraging the primitives provided by our Developer Platform team. The ideal candidate will have a strong platform and DevOps background, coupled with software development experience. The Network Lifecycle Management Team will play a crucial role in ensuring robust, scalable, and efficient onboarding of blockchain networks.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Operate and evolve highly available and performant engineering platform services such Kubernetes, Artifactory and CICD Platforms

  • Enable Blockchain Foundations teams to avoid hand-offs through self-serve engineering platform services

  • Reduce the barriers for protocol engineers at Chainalysis to deploy new blockchain networks

  • Champion best practices for monitoring and observability

  • Harden production systems (maintain uptime targets, graceful degradation, self-healing, automated recovery and security requirements)

  • Share innovative ideas and contribute to the team roadmap

  • Work with Information Security to improve the systems used to test releases for security issues

  • Develop best practices around use of cloud technology (AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka).

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  • An understanding of AWS services and technologies such as IAM, S3,  EC2, EKS, RDS, and Lambda

  • Experience running, maintaining and troubleshooting tooling to automate common development processes, reducing the manual effort required to execute tasks.

  • Experience monitoring production systems (DataDog, Prometheus, etc.)

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

  • Expertise in AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes.

  • Experience with Python, Kafka, or Kinesis, and understanding of data streaming technologies

  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines

Nice to have experience:

  • Experience in the blockchain or cryptocurrency industry - or a strong desire to learn (we can help!).

  • Knowledge of security best practices in a cloud environment.

Technologies we use and teach:

  • AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, GO, Kafka,, CI/CD, Datadog, GitHub Actions.
