The operations team is at the forefront of maintaining critical facilities infrastructure and delivering best-in-class service. Data Center Facilities Technicians will be responsible for performing repairs, corrective maintenance, and complex installations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Able to influence without authority
- Assists in coordinating critical infrastructure
- Carries out more complex infrastructure projects and off-site travel may be required to assist other locations
- Completes complex work requests and circuit installations
- Effectively collaborates with internal and external departments
- May instruct on-site staff during simple incidents
- Performs site inspections and monitors the building and alarms
- Provides input to your peers for complex / critical maintenance activities
- Respond to all on-site incidents and take action as required
- Responsible for completion of site logs and data gathering for permits, such as MOPs and scripts
- Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on site infrastructure (e.g. maintenance of primary infrastructures)
- Undertakes repairs and corrective maintenance
- Works through issues in a confident, positive way
- Any other responsibilities and/or duties that may be assigned, as deemed necessary by management
Required Skills & Abilities
- Proficient with company implemented/deployed technologies (e.g. Windows 10/11, Microsoft Excel, MinerOS, HiveOS, BTC Tools, Foreman Crypto Miner Management, Timeclock systems)
- Willingness to travel and/or dispatch to various mining locations
- Willingness to work all shifts: days/nights/weekends/holidays as needed and/or required
- On-call rotation schedule may be required
Education & Experience
- At least two years related experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly
- Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- Ability to respond quickly to sounds
- Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly
- Ability to withstand prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting and/or manual dexterity
- Ability to work in extreme weather
- Reliable transportation for commuting to assigned daily site and other locations, as required
