About Paxos Today’s financial infrastructure is archaic, expensive, inefficient and risky — supporting a system that leaves out more people than it lets in. So we’re rebuilding it. We’re on a mission to open the world’s financial system to everyone by enabling the instant movement of any asset, any time, in a trustworthy way. For over a decade, we’ve built blockchain infrastructure that tokenizes, custodies, trades and settles assets for the world’s leading financial institutions, like PayPal, Venmo, Mastercard and Interactive Brokers. About the team Our Engineering team is looking for a frontend engineer to join our new expansion in Armenia! Our frontend engineers work in small, agile units, consulting across product lines to improve usability throughout the business. Paxos defies traditional divisions and gives frontend engineers ownership over the design, implementation and testing of new features. Every engineer, regardless of seniority, has the opportunity to influence our product strategy by working directly with stakeholders, helping define feature requirements and refine usability patterns. A commitment to teamwork, empathy and strong communication skills are absolute requirements.   We use a mix of open-source technologies and leading vendor offerings to build our products. As a member of the frontend team, you'll primarily work with React, Typescript and SASS Modules for implementing layouts, as well as Webpack and Node.js to build our application.  What you'll do

Design and develop the infrastructure of our websites, including internal and external customer bases. Help develop an internal component library that will be used across business lines and in marketing materials to standardize Paxos' look and feel. Implement interfaces for a variety of internal and external-facing features, taking inspiration from both the crypto and fintech worlds. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in website development. Work closely with stakeholders to build empathy maps and user experience diagrams for new features, workflows and products. Create high-resolution mockups to test interfaces with users. Help define the company’s design-to-engineering pipeline.

About you

Extensive JS experience, both pre- and post-ES6, with comfort in writing code for the DOM and using transpilers. Strong, loosely held opinions on frontend state management, layout construction and testing strategy. An understanding of how to leverage typed languages to improve code safety. Comfort using one or more interface frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, etc.).  Basic understanding of raw HTML/CSS Experience working cross-functionally and directly with stakeholders.
