What You'll Do

Working closely with the Director of Product – Payments and Digital Assets, a Product Manager at Symbiont will own 1) a new innovative payment product based on blockchain technology and 2) a Digital Asset product to enable the use of ‘coins’ on Assembly. This role provides a unique and exciting opportunity to own and drive through the end-to-end lifecycle of a product; to design, build, launch, and commercialize, and ultimately becoming a ‘CEO of your own product’. It combines the roles of an SME (subject matter expert), a client advocate, and a detailed workflow analyst to drive the successful implementation of client engagements. A Product Manager works directly with Symbiont clients to understand the requirements and communicate those to the wider product and engineering teams. Specifically, that involves coordinating meetings with the clients to gather information and build artifacts such as requirement specifications and project plans. The requirement gathering process can be for the frontend UI, functional requirements, and non-functional performance. Responsibilities also include managing customer projects to a successful conclusion and testing the application to successfully achieve the objectives and client use cases. This role will also provide an opportunity to work across different product teams and applications of Symbiont in order to maximize the synergy and network effect. The role will involve helping the Engineering teams using an Agile sprint/scrum methodology to build products on a distributed ledger, working closely also with the product delivery, QA and operations teams. Customers of this business are typically financial institutions and fintechs, and the role will also require engagement with their business and technology teams.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years in product management, Tech/management consulting, fintech, business analyst experience
  • Passion / relevant experience in developing and launching new innovative product to become a CEO of the product
  • End-to-end ownership of project management experience: progress tracking, identifying and resolving risks, blockers, and dependencies, and communicating schedules/plans.
  • Familiarity and experience with different Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability navigate uncertain/ambiguous environment
  • Experience in issue tracking / prioritization / project management applications
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence internal/external senior stakeholders, working well in cross-functional teams
  • Self-starter with ability to perform under pressure and fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with coding and languages such as Python, R, C, Java, and SQL

Preferred

  • Detailed software requirements documentation experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with Payment transformation and innovation preferred
  • Knowledge and interest around Digital Assets preferred (e.g., Stable coins and other crypto currencies)
  • Knowledge of blockchain or Distributed Ledger Technology
  • Experience in Capital Markets industry
  • Knowledge of the Agile development process
  • Exposure to financial regulations
  • Previous experience with Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing
  • UI / UX design

Salary Range

  • $160,000 - $200,000
