Your mission:

Our system in the Screener Unit team is built and maintained by three specialized teams, each led by an Engineering Manager.

  • Backend team, responsible for the core computational services handling financial data.
  • Fullstack team, owners of the functionality for saved screens, screener configurations, and the development and integration of back-end for front-end APIs.
  • Frontend team, focused on delivering a rich user experience through the development of all our interactive screeners and heatmaps.

We're seeking a proactive QA Lead to guide our QA engineers across these teams. You will play a key role in enhancing our testing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and track key quality metrics for the Screener product, ensuring high standards across all teams.
  • Proactively participate in the analysis and design of new features to identify and prevent defects early in the development lifecycle.
  • Establish a robust regression testing process, driving efficiency through automation and ensuring comprehensive coverage.
  • Drive the evaluation and adoption of new testing tools and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Take a key role in release decisions for our deployments, ensuring adherence to quality standards and collaborating effectively with product and engineering.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to prioritize critical bug fixes.
  • Foster a culture of quality within the teams by ensuring clear communication and alignment on quality goals.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 4-6 QA engineers (direct and indirect reports), fostering their professional growth through coaching, performance feedback, and clear career development pathways, while collaborating with a fellow QA Lead.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the QA team to discuss process improvements, tools, and best practices.
  • Report to the Unit Lead, providing regular updates on quality assurance metrics, team performance, and insights.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive QA strategies and test plans, with a focus on backend systems and high-load environments.
  • Proficiency in applying software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, particularly for backend testing.
  • Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions within a CI/CD pipeline, utilizing tools like Selenium for UI testing and various API testing frameworks.
  • Practical skills in performance testing frameworks like k6 or Yandex.Tank to assess system performance and identify bottlenecks.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, attention to detail in identifying and analyzing defects.
  • Experience in leading, guiding, mentoring, and motivating QA engineers.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with development and product teams.
  • Familiarity with our tech stack: Go, Python, Kafka.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with high-load testing
  • Certification in software testing
  • Experience in the domain area of financial and trading services

  • Finance experience or knowledge of Trading
  • Knowledge of TradingView 😁
