About the Role:
 
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to own and manage a small set of critical, infinitely scalable features, ensuring top-notch quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about working in QA for games, willing to go the extra mile to ensure the job is done right, and committed to leading their team to be the best. They should be self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of managing both themselves and an external team. Strong communication skills and confidence are essential for this role.

  
Responsibilities. What you’ll do:
 
●      Design Collaboration:
Actively participate in design kickoff meetings to set quality and testing targets.
●      Test Coverage:
Create and maintain comprehensive, templatized test coverage to maximize external QA team efficiency and identify the majority of bugs within the feature.
●      Quality Analysis:
Utilize bug data and visualization tools to monitor and analyze the quality output of the external QA team.
●      Test Planning and Execution:
Plan and execute industry-leading test coverage in accordance with our KPIs. Be the first one in and the last one out of every feature deliverable, ensuring thorough testing throughout the development cycle.
●      Embedded QA Leadership:
Act as an embedded QA representative within development teams, ensuring quality standards are met.
●      Risk Management:
Collaborate daily with stakeholders to communicate, plan, and mitigate risks related to feature quality.
●      Milestone Accountability:
Be accountable for the quality delivered to our staging environment at every milestone.
●      Resource Management:
Understand and communicate headcount concerns, define the right time to automate testing processes, seek tools to maximize efficiency, and leverage automation for handling features that scale infinitely.
●      Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive QA documentation, including test cases, results, and feedback, to ensure consistent and repeatable testing procedures.
●      Training:
Provide guidance and mentorship to testers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and quality focus.
 
Qualifications:
 
●      5+ years of games QA experience
●      Proven experience in QA leadership roles
●      Proficient with project and test management software
●      Strong understanding of scalable feature management and testing in mobile games
●      Ability to develop comprehensive test plans and coverage.
●      Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
●      A genuine passion for games and the gaming industry
●      A "roll up your sleeves" mindset to get any job done.
●      B.S. in Computer Science, or a related field


Nice to Have. What an Ideal candidate looks like:

●       Experience with ChatGPT and other AI to enhance QA job performance
●       Experience working with external test automation teams to drive more expansive and reliable coverage
●       Experience testing locally in Unity or Unreal
●       Experience and interest in Web3 and blockchain technology
●       Experience building data visualizations in tools such as PowerBI, EazyBI, Looker, or Google Sheets
