About the Role: As the Director of Business Development, you will identify, engage, and secure partnerships to drive user acquisition and engagement. This role requires someone who can be both strategic and hands-on, combining business development with an understanding of technical integrations (e.g., APIs). We are looking for a scrappy, highly-motivated individual who can own the outreach and onboarding process and work cross-functionally to bring meaningful partnerships to life. Key Responsibilities:

Partnership Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy to identify and target high-impact partners that align with Public’s growth goals and brand mission. Pipeline Development: Identify and proactively reach out to potential partners, building a robust pipeline of opportunities across both traditional and non-traditional sectors, including finance, tech, life>

Qualifications:

Experience: 5+ years in business development, partnerships, or similar roles, preferably within fintech, tech, or consumer-facing industries. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of technical integration processes, including API capabilities and data reporting tools like Looker; ability to communicate effectively with technical teams. Deal-Making Skills: Proven track record of successfully negotiating and securing high-impact partnerships, with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Strategic Mindset: Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, prioritizing partnerships that drive Public’s growth objectives. Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills and experience in evaluating partnership performance metrics, with the ability to adjust strategy based on quantitative insights. Scrappy & Resourceful: Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of end-to-end processes. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to internal and external stakeholders.

The compensation range for this role is $145K-$180K based on skills and experience.
