Our engineering team is focused on delivering robust, testable software that will allow us to scale our core business and growing user base.  As a Blockchain Engineer at Newton, you will contribute to and maintain our blockchain payment services and help us launch a new enterprise wallet product. As a Blockchain Engineer you’ll also: Investigate and estimate new development projects and product integrationsLearn best practices to implement new features for company products and ensure that specifications are clear for themCreate implementation guidelinesCommunicate implementation requirements and communicate cross functionally with other developers on the teamHave a background in mathematics, computer science/engineering, or other relevant fieldsHave proficiency in Rust, Haskell, Golang, or other blockchain development languages Nice to haves: Familiarity with the entire blockchain stack including smart contracts & protocol layersExperience building blockchain protocols or applicationsDeep understanding of cryptography and security in the context of blockchainComfortable reviewing codePassionate about decentralizationExperience contributing or managing open source projectsExperience setting up and maintaining cloud servers
