Founded in 2018, Chiliz is a blockchain provider focused on the sports and entertainment industry. We build scalable, secure blockchain-enabled solutions that supercharge fan experiences using digital assets. 

$CHZ is the native digital token for the Chiliz sports & entertainment ecosystem currently powering Socios.com and the Chiliz Chain blockchain. 

Socios.com is a fan engagement and rewards app that allows fans to engage with their favourite teams and clubs through digital assets known as Fan Tokens.

THE ROLE

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Blockchain Engineer- EVM Specialist to join our team of talented developers who share a common interest in distributed systems, their scalability, and continued development.  You will be part of the team responsible for building the Chiliz chain that powers the Socios platform. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Building Web3 interfaces that are directly interacting with the blockchain
• Mentor and guide other engineers in advancing their skills and knowledge in Blockchain development
• Maintain and improve existing products
• Work closely with engineers and product managers on new features
• Ensure code quality through tests, in accordance with good practices
• Participate in code reviews
• Anticipate scalability and performance issues
• Be a force of technical and functional proposals

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in developing Blockchain applications
• Must be based in Europe
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to mentor and effectively convey complex technical concepts
• Good knowledge of EVM compatible chains
• Experience working on any of the following:
  • EVM clients (ex: go-ethereum/ geth, bsc-geth, ..)
  • Low level tokenomics
  • Consensus mechanisms (ex: Parlia, Clique, PoW, Lachesis, BFT, ….)
• Very good knowledge of Solidity or Vyper
• Good knowledge with best practices for securing smart contracts and App development
• Good knowledge of tools like: Hardhat, Truffle, Foundry, Brownie, Slither, Solhint, etc.
• Knowledge of decentralised infrastructure: components such as IPFS, Swarm, and Whisper.
• Good level of basic tools: Git, VSCode, JIRA
• Ability to work remotely, independently and collaboratively in a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willing to explore new things; curious

Good to have:

• Any other Blockchain knowledge (other blockchains, scaling solutions, … )
• Previous mentoring experience
