Babylon's mission is to bring Bitcoin’s unparalleled security to the decentralized world via a new public Cosmos-SDK PoS blockchain (Babylon) and a suite of inter-chain protocols.

About Babylon

Babylon is an innovative blockchain project founded by Claude E. Shannon Award recipient, Professor David Tse from Stanford University, and backed by leading investors like Paradigm, Polychain, Hack VC, and Framework. Our mission is to unlock Bitcoin security for the decentralized world. Join our fast-growing team of engineers, researchers, and business experts in building the future of blockchain.

What You'll Do:

As an Integration Engineer with experience in Ethereum ecosystem, you will play a critical role in bringing Babylon to the Ethereum ecosystem. This involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing integrations for seamless interoperability between Babylon and EVM chains and Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solutions. You'll work closely with core protocol engineers to ensure secure, efficient, and scalable integrations that leverage the power of Ethereum smart contracts and the broader ecosystem.

About You:

You are a software engineer with a deep understanding of Ethereum and its ecosystem. You have a proven track record of building and deploying smart contracts, and you are passionate about bridging Ethereum with other blockchains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Solidity smart contracts and code base relevant to Ethereum consensus layer (i.e., beacon chain), execution layer (i.e., go-ethereum) for integration with the Babylon protocol.

  • Design integration solutions for performance, security, and reliability.

  • Collaborate with core protocol engineers to identify and resolve integration challenges.

  • Contribute to the development of Babylon's tooling and SDKs for Ethereum.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the Ethereum ecosystem and Layer 2 scaling solutions.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in blockchain development in Go and/or Rust.

  • Deep understanding of Ethereum infrastructure, including Ethereum development tools (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle) and Ethereum consensus clients (e.g., Lighthouse, Prysm) /execution clients (e.g., Geth, Nethermind, Besu).

  • Deep understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and Layer-2 protocols.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other blockchain ecosystems (e.g., Cosmos, Solana).

  • Contributions to open-source blockchain projects.

  • Familiarity with decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and staking ecosystem.

Our team is remote first and we are hiring across the world. Here at Babylon, you’ll be joining a world-class team with tremendous growth potential as we bring secured Bitcoin staking to the world. We've raised over $80M from top venture funds like Paradigm, Polychain Capital, Bullish, Hack VC, Polygon Ventures, Framework Ventures, Castle Island Ventures, OKX Ventures, among other investment firms and strategic partners. Come join us and build the future of trustless Bitcoin staking!

What is Truffle Blockchain?

Truffle is a popular development framework for building decentralized applications (dApps) on blockchain platforms, including Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and others

The framework provides developers with a suite of tools that make it easier to create, test, and deploy smart contracts and dApps

Truffle also includes a number of integrations with other blockchain development tools and platforms, such as Ganache for local blockchain development and Metamask for Ethereum wallet management

Truffle includes a number of features that simplify the development process, such as:

  • Smart contract compilation and migration: Truffle automatically compiles and deploys smart contracts to the blockchain network, making it easier for developers to manage the deployment process.
  • Testing framework: Truffle includes a built-in testing framework that enables developers to test their smart contracts and dApps with a variety of testing tools and approaches.
  • Debugging and logging: Truffle provides tools for debugging and logging smart contract code, making it easier to diagnose and fix errors and issues during development.
  • Built-in libraries: Truffle includes a number of built-in libraries that provide common smart contract functionality, such as OpenZeppelin for token standards and SafeMath for secure arithmetic operations.
