Smart Contract Lead
About SQD.AI
SQD offers a suite of development tools and products built on top of a state-of-the-art decentralised data lake. Developers can use custom indexers and data pipelines to serve data to applications across the Decentralised Finance, Metaverse, Social, and NFT verticals.
We are looking for a skilled senior smart contract engineer to join the network team and help actualise our long term vision of being the world's first emergent database network.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in smart contract development, with deep expertise in Ethereum, EVM, and smart contract security.
Proficiency in smart contract development tools (Hardhat, Foundry, Truffle).
Strong understanding of gas optimization, storage management, and Solidity design patterns.
Experience working with DeFi protocols, cross-chain solutions, and on-chain data structures.
Exposure to Rust smart contract development (Substrate/ Solana) or strong interest in learning.
Ability to conduct security audits, identify vulnerabilities, and implement fixes.
Experience in high-growth startups or agile development environments.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and optimisation of Solidity & Rust-based smart contracts for SQD’s blockchain infrastructure.
Conduct security audits and enforce best practices for contract security and performance.
Collaborate with the network team to integrate smart contracts into the broader system.
Build and maintain testing frameworks (unit, integration, fuzz testing) to ensure contract reliability.
Stay ahead of EVM upgrades, Solidity advancements, and emerging blockchain standards.
Benefits:
Competitive salary & leading liquid token comp in a rapidly growing Web3 company.
Opportunity to work on cutting-edge blockchain technologies with a world-class team.
Remote-first work environment with flexible hours.
A fast-moving, high-impact startup culture where your contributions directly shape the company’s future.
What is Truffle Blockchain?
Truffle is a popular development framework for building decentralized applications (dApps) on blockchain platforms, including Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and others
The framework provides developers with a suite of tools that make it easier to create, test, and deploy smart contracts and dApps
Truffle also includes a number of integrations with other blockchain development tools and platforms, such as Ganache for local blockchain development and Metamask for Ethereum wallet management
Truffle includes a number of features that simplify the development process, such as:
- Smart contract compilation and migration: Truffle automatically compiles and deploys smart contracts to the blockchain network, making it easier for developers to manage the deployment process.
- Testing framework: Truffle includes a built-in testing framework that enables developers to test their smart contracts and dApps with a variety of testing tools and approaches.
- Debugging and logging: Truffle provides tools for debugging and logging smart contract code, making it easier to diagnose and fix errors and issues during development.
- Built-in libraries: Truffle includes a number of built-in libraries that provide common smart contract functionality, such as OpenZeppelin for token standards and SafeMath for secure arithmetic operations.
