We are looking for a Head of Business Development to join our innovative team. Edge Capital currently has two funds: a liquid market-neutral fund and a private equity / VC fund. The candidate will be responsible for fundraising capital and building relationships with prospective investors for both funds.


Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with investors through ongoing communication and reporting.
  • Focus on fundraising assets from family offices, institutional investors and crypto whales.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to attract and expand relationships with investors, both new and existing.
  • Identify and secure meetings with potential investors like family offices, endowments, foundations, and pension funds.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on the fund's investment strategy, performance history, and competitive advantages to prospective investors.
  • Collaborate with the portfolio management team to communicate investment strategy and results.
  • Represent the fund at industry conferences and events to expand visibility
  • Track and report on fundraising progress and provide regular updates to firm leadership
  • Stay current on investment industry trends, competitive landscape, and market condition


Requirements and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in hedge fund business development, fundraising or capital introduction.
  • Preferred Wealth Management or Family Office experience.
  • Existing network of investor relationships across Europe and the US.
  • Strong experience in business development, sales or investor relations roles in liquid alternatives or hedge funds.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • General knowledge of cryptocurrency, DeFi and related technologies, as well as experience in the financial industry.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial strategies in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Confident and persistent in networking and securing meetings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong leadership and management skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
