ABOUT THE POSITION:

This position will report to the Manager of Corporate Accounting Client Services. The Associate will reconcile all bank activity, record cash transactions, reconcile credit card statements, and prepare monthly and/or quarterly reporting. You will work closely with the team to ensure client deliverables are met. Associates are involved with all aspects of the client engagement and are critical to the success of the company.

Essential Job Functions

• Prepare and maintain the accounting data for multiple client engagements
• Ensure all client deliverables are prepared accurately and with a high level of quality
• Perform month-end reconciliations of fixed assets, accumulated depreciation, and prepaid rent
• Reconcile all cash activity to source data
• Reconcile monthly credit card accounts
• Ensure expenses are accrued timely and in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare partner allocations and ensure fee/allocations are booked accurately
• Keep an accurate time log and maintain efficient work standards to ensure profitability ofengagements
• Identify and track inefficiencies caused by client issues, or other matters and communicate challenges faced
• Demonstrate integrity and professionalism in all interactions with clients and other members of the firm

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Preferred CPA or CPA candidate
• Internship or experience in industry a plus

Pay range is up to $60,000 CAD, only candidates residing in Nova Scotia will be considered.
