About the Foundation Executive Director The Supernormal Foundation is a new organization dedicated to fostering the development of the Mezo ecosystem through the administration of programs, grants, and initiatives governed by the Mezo DAO. The Supernormal Foundation ED will focus on executing the strategic vision and operational priorities as determined by the DAO to support the growth and development of the Mezo protocol and ecosystem. As the Foundation’s first ED, you’ll work closely with the Thesis dev team and Mezo community to set up decentralized treasury and governance systems. Your day-to-day will focus on the operations and governance of the Foundation, and managing your team in driving towards protocol growth. This role requires a deep understanding of the Bitcoin ecosystem and a passion for making Bitcoin financial services easy & accessible for all. What You’ll Do
Communicate the vision and purpose of Mezo. Oversee the decentralization of Mezo’s vibrant ecosystem of stakeholders. Work closely with the Mezo DAO and Foundation Directors to manage the Foundation’s treasury and strategically align towards the protocol’s growth. Manage an existing ecosystem team of 6, covering community management, growth, dev rel, and business development functions. Recruit, hire, and manage Foundation team members. Manage accounting, legal, and operational responsibilities of the Foundation.
Requirements
Proven executive-equivalent leadership at a crypto project. Experience in any combination of startup business roles (operations, legal, finance, strategy, biz dev, marketing). Experience managing teams. Strong network of industry connections (other crypto projects, investors, regulators, etc.). A deep understanding of and love for the Bitcoin landscape.
Location This role is fully remote and open to non-US residents, excluding individuals in OFAC-sanctioned regions.
