Deeply understand blockchain fundamentals, asset custody workflows, and financial compliance requirements to build efficient, secure, and scalable systems. Ensure user asset security, real-time transaction settlement, reconciliation accuracy, and support multi-currency, cross-chain asset flows (e.g., WBTC, Layer2 networks) and complex business scenarios (e.g., leverage, derivatives, wealth management).
Key Responsibilities
- Clearing & Settlement System Design & Optimization
- Lead the design of core accounting systems, including user asset account structures, funds transfer logic, real-time clearing engines, and reconciliation systems.
- Optimize on-chain/off-chain asset settlement workflows to improve efficiency and reduce Gas costs.
- Support multi-currency (BTC, ETH, stablecoins), cross-chain assets, and complex business logic (e.g., Staking, lending) in settlement processes.
- Collaborate with blockchain developers to design efficient fund aggregation and batch withdrawal solutions.
- Risk Control & Compliance
- Design fund security mechanisms to prevent risks such as asset misappropriation, double-spending, and settlement delays; refine fund freeze/unfreeze rules and abnormal transaction interception.
- Build real-time reconciliation systems to ensure consistency across exchange ledgers, on-chain addresses, hot/cold wallets, and user accounts.
- Cross-Team Collaboration
- Partner with finance teams to optimize fiat deposit/withdrawal channel reconciliation (e.g., banking partnerships, third-party payments).
- Provide operational teams with data support for user asset reports, tax filing templates, and institutional client billing customization.
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Accounting, or related fields.
- CPA/ACCA certification preferred.
- Experience
- 5+ years in product roles related to exchange clearing, payment platforms, or banking core systems.
- Familiarity with fund reconciliation, error handling, and asset security protocols.
- Expertise in exchange custody systems and on-chain transaction data structures.
- Experience designing or optimizing high-concurrency, high-throughput settlement systems (e.g., millions of daily transactions).
- Skills
- Deep understanding of crypto fund security mechanisms and accounting safeguards.
- Mastery of clearing/settlement logic across diverse exchange business models.
- Bonus: Financial system experience (e.g., payment reconciliation) or familiarity with accounting standards.
- Bonus: Hands-on complex system design (e.g., Domain-Driven Design (DDD)).
- Personal Attributes
- Rigorous logic, highly sensitive to business data, and adept at identifying settlement issues through anomalies.
- Exceptional execution and self-motivation, setting standards for team members.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills to align technical, finance, and compliance teams on complex projects.
- Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
